Sacramento Chiropractor Dr. Michael Simmons
Like many, I discovered the benefits of chiropractic because of an accident.
When I was in my early twenties I raced motorcycles. One night I fell and was run over by the racer behind me. I sustained injuries to my ribs, neck, and back. At the time, J. Ray Weltch, D.C, was treating my father, and encouraged me to seek care in his office. During treatment I began to experience health that I thought was not possible. The symptoms from the accident were gone, and I no longer suffered from daily headaches. Besides restoring my health, Dr. Weltch also inspired and motivated me to consider chiropractic as a career.
A Chiropractic Education
Chiropractic became the perfect fit for me. I attended a three month introduction to chiropractic and its philosophy, and I was positive this was the place for me. I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1973. I attribute my success to studying at this college and being mentored by many pioneers of chiropractic, as well as staying up to date with new advancements in our profession.
My goal remains the same today as it was in college. I am dedicated to helping patients achieve their wellness objectives through chiropractic care, exercise, and diet. I truly believe in finding the cause of the problem to preserve life and promote good health by natural means.
On a Personal Note…
I have been married to my wife, Cherie, for 41 years. We have two sons; Steve, who is also a chiropractor and is my partner in practice, and Shaun who is a corporate attorney in Los Angeles. I am still a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoy fishing, and love spending time with my family; especially my grandchildren.
Chiropractic became my lifestyle in 1969. My children and their children continue in this way of life. We make lifestyle choices, which are vital in creating health and wellness. This is done through regular chiropractic care, proper nutrition, and exercise.
